Twilight

Summary: What happens in the woods stays in the woods. OneShot. You x Mystery Man.

Author’s Note: Here is a little short piece of original work…it’s random and I have no idea what inspired this. It is in the second point of view, which is my favorite to write in… Enjoy, hopefully you will.

Twilight

Twilight, in your opinion, was a rather creepy time… Perhaps it was the horror and terrible memories that you had involving twilight, if anything bad every happened to you it seemed to center around that point. Much to your utter joy, you were currently lost in the woods at such an appointed time. Oh, joy.

Normally, you were the very rational and stable sort, but you could help but cringe at every little noise and stir of the woods, imagining the very worst scenario. Basically, your underactive imagination just became very overactive…as if on crack. “It figures…”

The sudden, but light noise of leaves being crushed underfoot was more startling than anything pervious because it seemed as if someone was following you… You squared your shoulders, not allowing yourself to freak out. If, by chance, something was following you, you quickly reminded yourself that even a small squirrel made a lot of racket and the footsteps seemed too delicate to be a person.

[Name]…

Never mind, you were going to die

Yes,  might as well prepare yourself for the inevitable. Your mind flashed to him and suddenly, dying didn’t seem like the right option. Running, however, did. Graceful, you were not, but you were fast. You put as much distance between you and whatever that thing was. You made the mistake of glancing backwards, to see if it was anywhere near, and you lost footing. “Ouch…”

The same slow, quiet footsteps dared closer. “[Name]…” The darkness cloaked him, protected him from your gaze. The shadows that surrounded him seemed to heighten the tension, like the perfect scene from a horror film. “[Name]…”

You scrambled away from him until your back meet a tree, your breath coming in harsh pants. “Please–! Please, don’t kill me!”

He didn’t heed your fear, but moved closer, his startling red eyes gleaming in the moonlight. “[Name], I will not harm you…”

Ohmigosh….’ You flinched as his surprisingly cold hands grasped your chin. “Gah!” You jerked from his grasp—you were bound to bruise from how tightly he held you. “Dude, how did you get your hands so cold? And are those contacts?”

He blinked and dropped his hand, letting it hang limply at his side. “Uh, I distinctly remember you telling me that you wanted me to “dress like a hot vamp” and “mercilessly chase you in the woods”.”

“Uh, right.” You giggled before kissing his cheek lightly. “Well, I thought it would be fun to role-play like we did when we were kids…”

“Hm, not a terrible idea…” His lips curled into a smirk. “However, one problem…”

“Eh? What’s wrong?”

“Well,” He dipped his head; his lips were now distractingly close to yours, “As children, we missed out on some wonderful things…” His lips hovered over yours and you found yourself unable to concentrate. “So, [Name], are we playing as children?”

You wrapped your arms around his neck and pressed your lips back to his where they belonged. Hm, maybe twilight wasn’t such a bad time after all…
