Thought Provoking Questions From A Christian Prospective

Eh. Has it honestly been that long since I posted? Shame on me…  Here are some thought provoking questions about your spiritual life. Also, feel free to re-post your answers; I would love to see the diverse opinions and please comment if you do!

What has been the most impacting thing in your Christian walk? I think it was when I was filled with the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. After almost two years—I believe it was anyway—of praying and seeking, my prayer was answered. He never fails to answer our prayers! Other than salvation, it has been the most impacting thing, not just in my Spiritual life, but my physically life as well, it is a reminder that God is always there. See Acts 2:4, 2:38, John 14:26, Ephesians 5:18, 38, Luke 11:13, Matthew 3:11, Mark 16:17. All should earnestly desire the Holy Spirit, it is a gift.

What is the most important fruit that should be produced in a Christian’s walk? Love. Simple, but certainly not easy. See Romans 5:10. What a absolute example of love.

Where were you five years ago in your Christian walk? Do I even want to go there? That was certainly a dark point in my life… I was testing the waters, trying to see what was right for me… That was the time I was away from God, and I don’t want to relive it. See Romans 1:28. God will let us wallow in out own sin, and there is pleasure in such for but a season.

Where do you want to be five years from now? Whatever God wants, that is my desire.  See Proverbs 3:5-6. As I look to Him, I cannot fail.

How do you expect to accomplish this? Seeking him, having the will and desire to listen and take heed. See Luke 2:49. Christ was always about His Father’s business, as we should be.

Do you have a set goal for this year? Hm, I haven’t really thought about it actually. But, I would love to show the world the true extent of His never-ending love and compassion. See Mark 16:15. It is the great commission, right?

What do you think is missing from your Christian walk? More personal time with God and not enough time spent in his Holy Word. See Matthew 4:4.

How can you improve this? To stop being lazily and selfish, and to take heed His commands. See John 14:23-24.

What single verse has inspired you devoutly? Hebrews 13:5 “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,  “Never will I leave you;  never will I forsake you.” No matter what happens, who does or does not like me, He will always be there and love me. What more could I possible ask for?

What lead you to accept Christ as your Lord and Savior? I was seven and in Children’s Church… I just remember the teacher asking if we love the Lord, and I wasn’t so sure… She talked to me and I accepted Him as my Savior. The perfect change. See Romans 10:9.

What leads you to follow Him today? Love. Pure and simple. When I felt that no one on this earth cared, He was there to pick me up and set things right. And because of that, I can never turn my back on Him. See Jeremiah 31:3.

Do you believe in miracles? Yes! I believe that with every fiber of my being. I know that God has healed me from the top of my head to the very soles of my feet! See Mark 16:18, Acts 10:38. We should follow in Christ’s footsteps, therefore, we should be able to preform miracles.

Have you ever experienced one? When I was hospitalized with Diabetes, I almost went into a coma. When they lower my Blood Sugar, which was over a thousand, there was a possibility that I could have brain damage. Luckily, I do not, and it is all God. I cannot thank him enough for sparing me.

If you have but one day to live, what would you do? Wow, that is hard to say… I hope that I would spend it spreading His word… But I would, more than likely, spend it with family.

Well, that is it. I hope you had fun filling in these questions! It isn’t anything too in-depth or all that detailed, but I think it gives us a little insight… Use this to help you move forward in your walk with the Lord.  With much love and prayer,

Your sister in Christ Jesus,
